The beginners install course will include the common core of retro-fitting new systems, as well as training on the most important practices that are commonly overlooked that cause premature system failure and install callbacks. Your installers will be educated on thorough communication with the salesperson and homeowner to ensure a correct install, and happy client. This course will boost the students confidence and save months of field training and potential bad habits. Students will be given tasks to complete with common materials, and perform installation on an upflow and horizontal install. Some of the skills the student will learn will include; electrical knowledge, refrigerant charging, recovery, evacuation, brazing, pressure testing, basic HVAC operation, and much more.

  • Introduction to the Class
  • Safety
  • Tools of the Trade
  • Components -System operations

Day 2

  • Electrical -Refrigerant Recovery
  • Drains and Drain Pans
  • Line sets -Brazing
  • Pressure Testing -Evacuation

Day 3

  • Equipment verification
  • Install Design
  • Team will install system
  • Upflow and Horizontal

Day 4

  • Duct Materials
  • Duct Sealing
  • Verify system operations
  • Airflow with Chuck Morales (Afternoon)

Day 5

  • Airflow with Chuck Morales (Morning)
  • C.A.R.E. process for installers
